Caroline Jacobson

Caroline was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and is a second year political science and communications student at the University of Windsor. She enjoys contributing to her campus community through volunteer work and student activism. She currently serves as the elected representative for the Faculty of Arts and Social Science on the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance representing over 5000 students, representing half of the undergraduate student body. She was also a founding member of the Political Science and International Relations Student Society.

Caroline is proud of her maternal family’s influential Haudenosaunee history within the Old Credit River Mission and the Six Nations Reserve at Grand River. Inspired by her First Nations’ culture, Caroline provides mentorship to Aboriginal students from local high schools through the University of Windsor’s Aboriginal Education Centre (Turtle Island). As part of this team, Caroline encourages the students to embrace their First Nation history and culture and provides support to pursue higher education.

This past summer, Caroline worked as an intern in the constituency office of the Honourable Dwight Duncan, Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor -Tecumseh. She volunteered on federal and provincial elections campaigns in both Windsor ridings. Caroline is a strong believer in the youth movement and has organized and coordinated campaign activities for area youth to be engaged in political organization. Caroline currently works tirelessly recruiting students to rebuild the University of Windsor Young Liberals.
